Balut—a word that often evokes curiosity, intrigue, and sometimes a hint of trepidation. My journey with balut began on a warm evening in the bustling streets of Manila, and little did I know that this unique Filipino delicacy would not only tantalize my taste buds but also introduce me to the rich tapestry of Filipino culture.

Chapter 1: The Night Market Discovery

As I strolled through the colorful maze of street vendors in Manila's night market, my senses were bombarded by the sights, sounds, and, most importantly, the smells of Filipino street food. Amidst the chaos and laughter, I spotted a vendor with a steaming pot and a sign that simply read "Balut."

Intrigued and fueled by my adventurous spirit, I approached the vendor and decided to give it a try.
